Safe Fun For Children Online

I like to blog about things for children to do. Most young parents don't have time to go looking for fun things for their children. One great virtual world for kids is Dizzywood

Everything is geared toward children between eight and twelve in this 'safe' activity-oriented world. There is a chat area that is moderated. This is not another learning site trying to pose as a fun site. Think 'social networking' for children. They can create their own avatar, and play Internet based games without their parents worrying aobut what they are doing or who is online with them.

This site caught my attention when I read their parent's guide and found out they have both 'filters' and live monitors protecting the children. The site also asks for MY email address, not one of my childrens.

If you are looking for something safe and fun to let your grandchildren know about, or to set up for those babysitting days, then check out Dizzywood.
