Make Your Own Wall Art

A new trend in art started a decade ago. I was attracted to it because of the low cost. In the magazine world, a photo on canvas 36x48 would cost $800 - $1500. When you use a service for ‘home art’ you can buy the same picture for under $300.
Instead of filling your house with someone else's example of artistic expression people are adding their art to their walls. One of the most striking 'art' forms I ever saw was a child's painting. The child painted a picture when they were five. There was so much joy and expression in the colors and brush strokes.

Today's technology makes it easy to turn photos into art. Not just making the photo large enough to cover a full sized canvas. Creating canvas photos for the back of your couch can be as easy as choosing the size, choosing the art style from several styles, pop, graphic, Lichtenstein, che or illustration.

I prefer graphic art. It strips away a person’s facade and reveals the true person, their soul. I especially love a graphic art made from a photo, when all is stripped away but the true essence of the person. This is a common trick in magazine art.
Photos on canvas is a wonderful new art form. If you work through a specialized company such as www.photo-print-on-canvas.com you'll get free photo-editing and shipping. This is important as few of today's digital cameras create 'print ready' photos. They need to be enhanced.
