Protecting the Grandchildren with GPS

Parents give their grandchildren a lot of things when they are young. One of the best things they may ever give a child is a GPS unit. Today's units are very different from the old ones. They fit in something as small as a cell phone, or a shoe. They can be tracked in real time, and they can even be tracked on Google Maps from a tool made by GTX Corp.

They have a patented Personal Location Services (PLS) system that includes a miniaturized “always-on” GPS tracking and location-tracking module. This can provide real-time coordinates that work with Google Maps.

The company has a short video that will help parents and grandparents. The unit will fit into a shoe, a pack, or clipped into a pair of jeans. There are different types of transmitters being created.

"It's 3:30. Do you know where your kids are?" reads the advertisement for Smart Shoe. The shoes are a great deterrent. The logo for the GPS company is right on the side. This lets potential threats know the child is being watched even when a parent isn’t' in sight. The predator doesn't know whether the parent is 30' away watching from a computer.
GTXC now sells a version of the Smart Shoe GPS called GeoFence. This that sends an alert if the child goes beyond a certain area. I read a couple of reviews on this product. It is relatively easy to set it up on a PC.
