Death Starts In The Colon - Don't Buy a Product

Below is an excerpt from Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management, 1980, by Dr. Bernard Jensen, DC, ND, Ph.D.

"The heavy mucus coating in the colon thickens and becomes a host of putrefaction. The blood capillaries to the colon begin to pick up the toxins, poisons and noxious debris as it seeps through the bowel wall. All tissues and organs of the body are now taking on toxic substances. Here is the beginning of true auto-intoxication on a physiological level. This accumulation can have the consistency of truck tire rubber. It's that hard and black."



A healthy colon is a healthy individual, according to the Royal Society of Medicine in the U.K.. They believe that 90% of all chronic diseases are caused by infections of the gastrointestinal tract.

I know this is a rather disgusting topic but it is impossible to talk about health without discussing colon cleansing.

Do you need a colon cleansing program?

The answer is no. You may need something to help you get started, but according to some experts, water will do it. All you need to do is drink a (a little more than) half gallon of water a day (if you are 150 lbs)for a few days to 'shock' your system into dumping toxins. If you don't start dumping toxins within 2 or 3 days - up the water intake. Most people will start seeing a difference when they drink 10 glasses (5 bottles) of water a day.

An insufficient amount of water causes constipation and toxicity in the bowel and kidneys. Physical activity, fever, dry climates, meat, and salty foods will increase the amount of water you need to drink.

One formula is to drink half your weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 120 pounds (55 kilograms), drink 60 ounces (one glass = 7.2 ounces/ eight glasses=two litres) a day. This includes water, herb tea and 'thin' fruit juice.

Caffeinated beverages dehydrate the body and undo the benefits of a colon cleansing. The best time to drink 20 minutes before eating. An important rule is to drink water–not pop or other beverages.

Fasting while drinking water will help. It helps shock the body. A 3 day fast is long enough to start the process. You can drink lots of fruit juice while fasting.


Problems Caused by a Clogged Colon

Don't panic, that is only 4 - 5 bottles of water a day and you can flavor it with green tea. Cleansing the colon can greatly reduce the pain and discomfort caused by the following problems:

The problem with the products is that they remove stool, but they don't remove the black and green mucus that is the problem. Chlorophyll soothes and heals damaged tissue in the digestive tract. It helps the body to obtain more oxygen and leaches out toxins. this is why, chlorophyll is called "the internal deodorant."

Fermented Foods

Refined carbohydrates and lack of fibre in a diet will reduce the number of beneficial bacteria (Bifidobacteria in the colon and Lactobacilli in the small intestines) in the intestines. Yogurt, sauerkraut, kefir and other fermented foods can replenish the good bacteria.

The beneficial bacteria helps draw vitamins from food remnants, degrade toxins, and prevent disease-causing micro-organisms, as well as stimulate the immune system.

Cinnamon Peppermint Ginger

Adding cinnamon, ginger, and peppermint to your diet - both in foods and tea, will facilitate the colon cleansing process.

Peppermint has long been known for its ability to relieve digestive problems. However, to get the best benefits you need to grow your own. Next best is to buy the peppermint oils from health food stores.

Buying the leaves works if they are fresh. When in the health food store, open the lid of the herb jar. Does a heavy waft of peppermint rise up? Do the leaves bend when pressed - even the dried out ones. If the leaves crumble into small pieces of dried flakes then leave them - you are better buying the tea bags at the grocery store.

Garlic and Ginger are both healing, purifying, and can prevent infections.
