Casinos

I've heard a lot of bad press about casinos lately. Yes, there are people who act crazy. But there are ways to protect yourself.

1. Every 1/2 hour get up and walk out of the casino for a few minutes. There are reports that suggest that the bright lights and noises effect us emotionally and heighten our excitement level.

2. Do not go to game. Only go when you have something to celebrate. Go when the show is something you really want to see.

3. Leave your bank cards at home. Leave your checks at home.

My parents have been taking bus tours to casinos. They share the event with friends. They have fun at the buffets. The shows are fun and entertaining. They go once every few months. It is something they look forward to - and you can't beat the price.

There are not too many other places where older people can enjoy a day out, a great meal and lots of fun. I think they should restrict gambling - but the casinos are not a bad thing.

You can even use these theories for online casino. Limit your time. Limit your investment, and make it an event - not a routine.
