A Cancer Survivor Story: Increase Your Probability Of Success

In my work with clients who are struggling with serious illness, I have come to see what works and what doesn't work. Another way I describe it:Do you have a strategy in place that will give you the highest probability for a successful healing? Or do you have a strategy for a possible disaster? Most of the time that disaster is slow coming; actions you are taking now in the present may mount up to an outcome you don't want.

Remember prediction/prophecy is a specific outcome in the future based on thoughts and feelings you are having in the present and actions you are taking in the present. This principle is science now. But the powerful part of this principle is if you make minor shifts in the present, it creates a dramatic shift in the future; this is the "Butterfly Effect".

What follows is a list highlighting the connection between strategy and probability. All actions that you see suggested are a win-win; truly.

1. If you are diagnosed with cancer or any serious illness and initiate emotional work right away or at anytime, you have a much higher probability of curing that illness. And usually this emotional work has to do with forgiveness of yourself or others.
2. If you do a detoxification program at an appropriate time after chemo or radiation with a highly qualified professional you have a lower probability of the illness coming back.
3. If you combine an alternative protocol with your conventional protocol under the supervision of highly qualified professional, you have higher probability of success with less side-effects and any permanent damage.
4. If you look at your illness as a gift and learning experience you have a much higher probability of many things: less pain, better decision making, successful cure, growth spiritually, better relationships with those around you.
5. If you quiet your thoughts around fear and allow your wisdom to rise up in you have a higher probability of success.
6. If you eat well and exercise, the probability of success is higher.

The list could go on but I am sure you see the principle.

I was shopping in a cookware store a few weeks back and got talking to the manager. I was driving her crazy about finding non-aluminum cookware! She was very helpful and we had a good time exploring which cookware is totally aluminum-free. For some reason after my second trip to the store, I said the reason I was little kooky about this aluminum issue was because I am cancer survivor. It turns out she is too!

Cancer survivors have a way finding each other. She told me she has survived cancer twice. I told her about my work and asked her very gently if she had explored any of the emotional issues that might have led to the cancer? She said, "No, she knows where it came from, it's all genetic with her." I said, "That certainly may be part of it but the reasons are sometimes multi-dimensional." She seemed receptive to that idea. In that moment, I was grateful that I am getting the word out there.

Many people who have been thru cancer have not thought about the emotional issues. I only hope that my writing and other's work will educate them to the emotional dynamic behind illness. For me it is a mission, one that I am honored to be given.
